More Ramblings From Me

I'm Back !!!
Thank Goodness, I have my computer up and running again !! It is amazing how one does get used to the routine of sitting at the computer each morning with that first morning cuppa mmmm. I am not too sure how long it will keep running but hey, it seems to be going fine at the moment and I have managed to save all my photos etc. onto my new external hard drive !! My 250gig external hard drive. How cool is it?

It's Holiday Time!!

We are in our last week of the term three school holidays down here in good old Victoria, Australia. I haven't really done much these holidays as Shark who is 16 can really entertain himself. I never thought that I would miss having small children I used to love the holidays and everything that came with them, going to the pictures, making play dough or just sitting at home watching tv. Life just seems to move on so fast!!
Ya Gotta Love Bonnie Doon !

Last Friday night we did manage to head up to our on site caravan at Bonnie Doon, Lake Eildon we had a wonderful time. On Saturday a friend that also has a van up there decided she wanted to learn how to ride a trail bike, she was an extremely quick learner and within half an hour we were off with the boys heading up Little Chinamins.

Below - me and Sue on top of Little Chinamins how sweet is the water behind us, still not enough for boating but hey there is water !!
Strathbogie Rangers

Sunday we decided to go for a 4 x 4 drive up the Strathbogie Rangers we went with three other cars and had a great day. We stopped for lunch at Black Charlie Creek where the kids and a couple of us adults went exploring and rock climbing, there were these huge awesome rocks that had moss growing all over them they were incredible. The boys young and old also played a game of cricket using pieces of gum tree for their bat and wickets. After lunch we drove further up the mountain where we found more rocks to climb and explore it is amazing how the great Australian bush changes from place to place.
Below - This photo is taken from the back seat of our car out of the front window, it shows the bush as well as a friends car we are following.

Below - One of the many rocks the kids tried to climb.

Below - Shark Standing on one of the Rocks he climbed

Below - Hubby's Car Covered In Mud

Why would one make their car so dirty when there is no way he can wash it due to a draught and severe water restrictions ?

So he had a good excuse to run it through a natural Car Wash Several Times!!

Monday we had a lazy days the boys all went for a ride on their trail bikes while the girls sat and chatted. We had lunch and then Shark went for a last minute ride on his trail bike before we headed home, Hubby and I were packing the car when my phone rang it was one of the other boys Shark went riding with, instantly I knew something was wrong "Melinda Shark has had a really bad crash you have to come and get him" I found out where they were and immediately Hubby, our friend Michael and I jumped in our car and headed towards the boys when we arrived there Shark was laying lifeless on the ground my whole body shook I immediately thought the worst, I have been telling Shark for years to "Slow down I don't want to have to look after you for the rest of your life in a wheel chair". When I reached Shark he immediately sat up thank goodness he was ok. He was lucky he was wearing all his protective gear, he needs a new helmet and new riding top but has no broken bones, only a very swollen wrist, elbow and a few nasty bruises the worst on his back. Hopefully this accident will slow him down a bit as I think he really got a fright. Once Shark was cleaned up we headed for home, another fantastic weekend with friends was over. The warmer weather is slowly approaching so the boat will come out of storage and the bikes will go in. I wish I could say that at least Shark will be safer but unfortunately he wakeboards and does all those silly flippy things so I can't really win.

Just A Quck Post !!

Mmmm what to write I have no idea 18 days have past since my last post and I still cant think of anything interesting to write about. Not good, Not good at all, I honestly think I should retire from the world of blogging!! Mnnn that could be a bit drastic as I love reading what all you fellow bloggers write. Ok - Lets see here goes.

Over the past two weeks I have worked heaps and then completed the normal chores "housework", so the computer has taken a back seat. Tonight I am off to watch the production my sister was working on for her school. I will get to see how all her hard work and my little bit of work (34 cowboy costumes) look when they come to life on stage. With today being Friday and the end of the working week I was planning on heading up to Peppin with Hubby and Shark but I think we have once again decided not to go. No other families we know are heading up there this weekend and Shark and I hate being up there when no one else is. I think instead we will go for a nice drive Shark has his learners and needs the practice.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful over the last couple of weeks not too hot and not too cold just perfect, summer is well on the way. I am not sure if that is really a good thing as the drought situation is bad and we have been warned that the price of water will increase and severe restrictions will hit us once again. Peppin where we go on holidays will once again have no water so activities behind the boat will be limited and a dayly trip to Lake Nillahcootie over our two week holiday break will be an every day accurance.

I stumbbled accross this picture earlier on today and I love it !! I think it is so cute so I decided to share it with you all. They are the native animals of Australia.Well all I will try and post again tomorrow letting you all know how the production went until then keep safe and have fun !!

Where do you all get your ideas from?

It's Friday Night and I have spent the last two hours checking out other blogging sites. It is awesome how all you fellow bloggers out there come up with such fantastic ideas of what to write and show on your blogs. I cannot work out where you all get your ideas from, I have been struggling over the past 3 weeks of what to write and add - Oh No - I have only been blogging for 3 weeks, I guess I have a real problem. LOL

Today when I went to pick my son up from school I decided I would take my camera with me, just in case I saw something along the way that I could take a photo of and talk about. Normally I would think, Oh My! this is such a boring drive. I have travelled this same road at least 280 days a year for the past 10 years taking my children to and from school, so what was I possibly going to see that I could take a photo of and write about. Concentrating on the scenery rather then the road - how stupid I was - I noticed that The Australian Wattle was coming into bloom and I actually for the first time ever, realised just how nice it actually looked, it's beautiful bright yellow broke the constant green and brown of the typical Australian Gum. I noticed that the valley where my house is looked really pretty at this time of year, the grass was green, the sky was blue with enormous white fluffy clouds. Normally I would rush along this road taking everything for granted and concentrating on nothing but where I was going. I always tell my kids "I could drive this road with my eyes closed" but today I noticed just how pretty it looked.

I took this photo through my car window I was on the way to my sons school which is 17kms away, I live down in the valley behind the writing on this photo.

This photo was also taken on the way to collecting my son, I just missed the wattle (top left hand corner).

And yet another picture of the view I have driving to and from my sons school.

By the way I didn't actually take the photos whilst driving I did manage to stop for a second as there were no other cars on the road behind me.

Oh Boy !!

What can I say my good friend Connie has given me an award the "Schmooze Award" I am officially a "SCHMOOZE" When I first read this on her site I was like -
Oh My what does this mean ? What do I have to do?
On reading further I found out that Schmooze means :-
