Well here I am back again, a few days after my first post. I honestly don't know why I am here as I keep thinking to myself who is going to actually read what I am writing !!
It is Sunday night 10.30pm and I have just returned home from work!! Who works on a Sunday you may ask ! Me ! I work at a basketball stadium. Yes, there are people out there that have nothing better to do then play a game of basketball in the middle of winter on a Sunday. But hey, I get paid for it so that's all good.
Yesterday, being Saturday my husband and I left home at 9am and headed to our caravan up at Bonnie Doon, Lake Eildon. We had quite a pleasant trip, it was really different driving with just the two of us in the car, no teenagers begging for their music to be played or wanting to stop for some food. We listened to what ever radio station the car radio picked up along the way and chatted to each other uninterrupted. I also fiddled with my camera clicking away here and there. We had just driven through Yarra Glen, when I decided to try and capture all the different types of scenery we
passed through along the way. I have never really taken much notice before, but it really is quite amazing how in a one and a half hours drive, one can drive through so many different scenes. Unfortunately scenes from the side window were just about impossible, as I always managed to capture a tree or a sign post blurred right through the middle of the photo but I managed to capture a few shots out of the front windscreen. These two photos will hopefully show what I mean.We arrived at our van and surprisingly enough the weather was nothing like what I expected it to be(rain), it was really quite pleasant and occasionally the sun would pop up and say hello. We said hello to our friends up there and then Hubby disappeared. Before anyone could say boo he was up a tree, he had a mission he wanted done and nothing was going to get in his way. Next to our van was a fairly tall gum tree that was killing our roof and needed to be chopped down, with a cry of the chainsaw and a pull of a robe it was down. Thank goodness we have great friends up there, which meant the mess was cut up and cleaned away in no time. The next project was started straight away, this was an extension of the roof over our decking. Once again thanks to our great friends before we knew it the roof was up, not totally completed but what could be done was done. We had dinner watched a bit of tv then went to bed. In the morning we got up and tidied up inside and out, once again it surprising what one can get done with no kids around to make a mess. By 2pm we headed for home !! We had a very productive and pleasant weekend and were disappointed that it was over but as I mentioned earlier I had to wort !!

It's great that you both had a good time, Melinda, but it's a shame it was such a short time up at Bonnie Doon. Doing it without the kids sounds like it worked out well!
I am new to the world of blogging so I hope I am doing this right LOL.
It did work well having no kids but to be truthfull I also enjoy having them around, My son always takes up a couple of his mates and they are a great bunch with lots of laughs.
Looking at your profile photo you are into water activities as well!!
Take Care
Melinda

I am slowly getting there with this blogging, I have managed to add music and a few little pictures LOL. Thanks for recomending that I give it a go. The link thingy is fine! Hi, Melinda! I'm here by way of Connie. ;-)
It's always nice to meet a new blogger and you'll catch on before too long. I was as clueless as they come when I first started blogging a year and a half ago.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I honestly thought no one would find it!
I dropped past your blog and absolutely love it! The photos you have of your grand daughter are awesome. I can't wait to be a grandmother! I have two daughters 20 and 22 but both have not found the right man yet, so I guess I will be waiting a while.
Once again Thanks. Have A Great Weekend

Hi Pea,
Thanks so much for your comment and please keep stopping by as I will to you. I am so addicted to this blogging world that I am sure each time you visit I will have added or changed something. Connie is the best friend one could ever have both in the blogging world and in the real world, I love her and her family they are the best!!
I love the Australian scenery but I don’t think anything would compare to the scenery of Canada it is such a beautiful country from what I have seen (only on the net, TV and books unfortunately).
Take care Hugs Melinda xox
Hi Connie,
OMG I think you have created a monster for months you have told me about the Blogging World and for months I thought Nah!! But hey I love it! I keep changing my blog because I can't really seem to find what I really want. I had to delete my top picture because that was totally mucking things up. I have a few questions I want to ask you about this blogging thing but they are not important and can wait until I see you next. I have enough to keep me busy for the time being.
Have a great weekend.
Take care Luv Melinda xox
