Yes The Weekend Is Here!!

It's 3pm Friday afternoon I have been sewing costumes for the school my sister teachers at for the last 5 hours, I was determined to get them finished today but - No such luck, even with the help of a friend I still have heaps to do. Asha my dog is not happy with me, I usually walk her every day and she has been sulking all day, she keeps coming up to me and putting her head on my lap and looks at me with her huge brown eyes pleading for me to stop and take her for a walk. Every time I stand up She runs to the front door, ball in mouth as she normally does when we go for a walk, she is so cute.
Yesterday I took her across the road to visit the pig that lives there, I used to take her over there quite a bit but the thing(pig) has grown so big it now scares me, as soon as it saw us cross the road it ran down to the fence I was sure it wasn't going to stop and was going to go straight through the fence, which meant it would send me flying to the ground. I used to think pigs were cute but after seeing this one yesterday I have decided they are ugly, noisy scary creatures LOL. Sorry all you pig lovers out there!
Below is a photo of the the pig and Asha standing near the fence. In this photo the Pig looks tiny but trust me it's not, it's at least 4 times the size of Asha!!

The other day I was feeling sorry for the pig because I didn't think it would grow a winter coat and it has been so cold, but looking at this pig it has a nice warm winter coat.

The weekend is here and I still have no idea we are doing, I was thinking of going to Lake Mountain to the snow, it is not a huge snow field just a small sight seeing one suitable for cross country skiing or tobogganing. I have promised a friend to go to the snow with them one day as her children have never seen snow, so I thought Lake Mountain was as good as any!! We will most probably hire a couple of toboggans and let the children go crazy. If we don't go to the snow then we will just stay at home sorting out the back yard. I have managed to empty our old above ground pool that the kids have out grown of and want to pull it down and try and work out what I can put in its place.

Well I guess I better be off and go and clean up my family room, before the family all return home from work, it is covered with sewing. I hope everyone has a great weekend, keep safe all, bye for now!

It's Wednesday

Hi All,
Guess what it's Wednesday already, I have one night left of work and then it's 3 days off Yay. Today I am helping my sister sew costumes for her school production. It is so cold outside I reckon I would be better off going back to bed and curling up with a good book or watching a good dvd whilst sitting in front of our fire.
What is going on with our climate, Summer was incredible so dry and hot and now winter is soooo cold - there is snow not far away 15minutes in the car, normally one would have to drive for a couple of hours to see snow but hey not this winter! Grrrr.

Thank you to everyone that left their kind comments re Trent. He is doing fine, however, I am sure he will have the image of the accident in his mind for a very, very long time.

Anyways just came on to say Happy Wednesday

5am Phone Call

Well here I am back again post number 3 on my main blog.
It is Sunday night and once again I have just walked in the door from work, a little earlier this week then last. The weekend is just about over and tomorrow is the start of the new working week. In Victoria our children return to school tomorrow, they have had the past two weeks off with school holidays. I can honestly say I am not looking forward to my son returning, we have managed to spend a lot of time together over the past two weeks and I know I will definitely miss him.
I hope you have all had a great weekend. We had a little be of a sad moment early this morning which has been on our minds all day. At 5.05am our home phone rang which startled us all, the phone is on my husbands side of the bed and finally after knocking over everything that he could, he managed to answer it. During the time it was ringing I kept telling him to hurry up!-pick it up! His response I'm trying to, turn the light on and I will. All I could think of was something was wrong with BB our eldest daughter or one of our parents. It is amazing how in such a short period of time so much can go through your mind. Bianca had gone out Saturday night with a group of her friends and said she would message me and let me know whether or not she was coming home or staying at her friends house, I never got any message and I tried to call her several times during the night but she didn't answer. I was thinking to myself "Oh God Please No". Thankfully soon after my husband had picked up the phone I heard him say "She's asleep Trent" - Trent is my second daughter Treens ex-boyfriend and occasionally when he gets drunk he will ring up at any hour of the night and ask to talk to her. I heard Jack say - I'll go and see if she is awake. He handed me the phone and told me to talk to him and see what the matter was. I got on the phone and said - "Trent do you realise it is 5am in the morning Treen is fast asleep" in a soft voice he said "I am sorry", it was then I could tell he was crying well actually not crying but literally sobbing. I asked him what was wrong and he said - I just witnessed the worst car accident ever - OH I said, are the people ok? - No was his reply - OH did you know them? Yes. With that I told my husband to wake Treen up and tell her she had to talk to him. After spending 10 minutes on the phone and telling Trent to wait a minute Treen came into our room and told us what had happened. He and three of his mates were out night clubbing, one of the mates was the designated driver and didn't drink the rest did. They dropped two boys off at their home in Croydon and then were going to go to Trent's for the rest of the night. They were driving along Kent Avenue when they noticed a car behind them doing silly, then all of a sudden the car was gone and they heard a bang. They decided to turn around and go and see if the people in the car were ok, when they got to the spot they saw the car wrapped around a pole, they jumped out of their car and ran to the car that had crashed only to see the two mates they had dropped off in the front two seats, the passenger had blood over his face and the driver was slumped over the passenger and his body was convulsing and then stopped. Trent called the ambulance, he said he feels horrible because the operator kept asking him questions and he just kept yelling at her telling her to "send a F****** ambulance now". The Police and two ambulances arrived at the scene, the passenger was taken to hospital. Then Policeman told Trent and his mate to turn away as they removed the driver from the car unfortunately he apparently died instantly. 22 years of age. I honestly cannot work out why teenagers of today have to spend so much time at these night clubs drinking. At 22 I was married with a child, had a mortgage and responsibilities, we still managed to have a heap of fun without the nightclubs, now a days they spend all their money on alcohol and drugs, what is happening to our young generation ?? It is terribly, terribly sad that this young boy lost his life, I cannot get it off my mind, but I guess it could of been worse what if he had hit another innocent car and killed and innocent person, it really disturbs me.
On that note I am going to go to bed - oh but before I do I would like to thank everyone that has visited my blog and posted a comment. I honestly believed no one would ever drop by but thanks to Meow some fellow bloggers have. Thank you.

Take care everyone, keep safe, until next time bye bye

We're Off To Bonnie Doon

Well here I am back again, a few days after my first post. I honestly don't know why I am here as I keep thinking to myself who is going to actually read what I am writing !!

It is Sunday night 10.30pm and I have just returned home from work!! Who works on a Sunday you may ask ! Me ! I work at a basketball stadium. Yes, there are people out there that have nothing better to do then play a game of basketball in the middle of winter on a Sunday. But hey, I get paid for it so that's all good.

Yesterday, being Saturday my husband and I left home at 9am and headed to our caravan up at Bonnie Doon, Lake Eildon. We had quite a pleasant trip, it was really different driving with just the two of us in the car, no teenagers begging for their music to be played or wanting to stop for some food. We listened to what ever radio station the car radio picked up along the way and chatted to each other uninterrupted. I also fiddled with my camera clicking away here and there. We had just driven through Yarra Glen, when I decided to try and capture all the different types of scenery we passed through along the way. I have never really taken much notice before, but it really is quite amazing how in a one and a half hours drive, one can drive through so many different scenes. Unfortunately scenes from the side window were just about impossible, as I always managed to capture a tree or a sign post blurred right through the middle of the photo but I managed to capture a few shots out of the front windscreen. These two photos will hopefully show what I mean.

We arrived at our van and surprisingly enough the weather was nothing like what I expected it to be(rain), it was really quite pleasant and occasionally the sun would pop up and say hello. We said hello to our friends up there and then Hubby disappeared. Before anyone could say boo he was up a tree, he had a mission he wanted done and nothing was going to get in his way. Next to our van was a fairly tall gum tree that was killing our roof and needed to be chopped down, with a cry of the chainsaw and a pull of a robe it was down. Thank goodness we have great friends up there, which meant the mess was cut up and cleaned away in no time. The next project was started straight away, this was an extension of the roof over our decking. Once again thanks to our great friends before we knew it the roof was up, not totally completed but what could be done was done. We had dinner watched a bit of tv then went to bed. In the morning we got up and tidied up inside and out, once again it surprising what one can get done with no kids around to make a mess. By 2pm we headed for home !! We had a very productive and pleasant weekend and were disappointed that it was over but as I mentioned earlier I had to wort !!

I have No Idea

Well here I am a month after I created my Blog Account and I still have no idea what I am doing.

Meow I definitely need those lessons you mentioned !!

Today is Wednesday the 4th July 2007 and I am bored out of my brain that is why I decided to come back onto this thing and see what I can come up with. It is school holidays down her in the land of Oz (Melbourne, Victoria) and I don't have to drive children to and from school, nor do I have to work apart from 4 hours on Tuesday and 4 hours on Sunday so I have heaps of time to myself.
Outside is your typical winters day, the wind is blowing constantly, the rain is coming and going, it's freezing out there and I should be happy curled up in front of our Open Fire watching a good DVD or reading a good book but nah, that's not what I feel like doing.

The Gateway Up To The Mountain
Last Sunday I went to Mt. Buller to the snow with my family, well my eldest daughter BB didn't come but Treen and Shark did. We had a great time even though the weather conditions weren't the best. We hope to get there again real soon under much better conditions. Below is a picture of Treen and Shark with the snowman they made, it was real cute they used Jersey caramels for its eyes and a red lolly snake for its mouth. Treen is still one big kid at 20 years of age and so is Shark at 16, But what the heck I hope they stay the way they are for a few more years, before they know it they will have to grow up and have responsibilities, they may as well stay the way they are and enjoy life. Their time will come in no time, where they will have their share of worries, and responsibilities.
